I'm a Malaysian. But my mom is Singaporean. I've been to Singapore countless of times before. Anyway, Singapore is super clean country. Good public transport. You definitely can rely on their public bus and MRT. I suggest you head there during 'big sales'. Great shopping during that time especially after Christmas. Christmas is a good time to vist Singapore. Very colourful.

As for food, you should try their local delicacies like Singapore Laksa and Singaporean Murtabak at Arab Street.

Malaysia, Penang is ok though but I'd recommend the islands like Pulau Redang or Pulau Perhentian. Or perhaps you should try Pulau Rawa and Pulau Kapas. There's actually many islands that I personally like in Malaysia. But then again it depends on what do you intend to do in Malaysia, visit historical places? Then head to Malacca, Langkawi, Penang. 2-3 days will be good.

From Singapore to KL? Compare to Aeroline (which is expensive in my point of view), you can get a bus ride (Transnasional), Executive Coach at the Lavender St. which will stop at either KL (Kotaraya) or Jalan Duta.

Good luck!

Hi Dakie,

My advice is to take a bus SIN - MALACCA - KL.

Yeah spend half day in Malacca is ok. Unless you intend to visit the Malacca Zoo, the night Zoo, the shopping malls and etc, then spend a night in Malacca, you might get restless.

For Malacca, proceed to the Portugese settlement, check out Jonker Street (at night), Baba & Nyonya, try the Portugese grill fish, it's good! (that should cover half day).

Then head over to KL. Visit the twin towers KLCC, Batu Caves, Central Market, Petaling Street among others...

Take a bus from Singapore from Lavender Street, there's a bus service called "Transnasional". It's cheaper compare to other nice coach buses. But then again there's a few other bus companies, check it out, get the one that you like. They should have bus service SIN - MALACCA - KL.
