There was a thread a while ago about movies. I went hunting for it but to no avail. :(

No doubt Hien will dig it out for us

Anyway, I went to the movies and saw Saw IV last night - much better than Saw III. It's getting to the point though that the directors are digging from the bottom of the barrell for new ideas which makes it all the more ridiculous and thus enjoyable.

Is it wrong that I didn't find it all that disturbing?

Saw 1 was disturbing but annoying, too. At one point, we go into flashback mode- and the guy walks out of his own flashback. What? While his wife and child are talking alone, all I can think of is "Wait a minute - how's he remembering this bit?" But the end was disturbing. Eek.

I saw Tristram Shandy - A Cock and Bull Story yesterday. Neal's pick. I missed half the jokes and I'm still not quite sure what it was supposed to be about. We also rented "Other People's Lives" but those 3 glases of wine made it a 1 movie night. Oh well!

Tristam Shandy was great!! I picked it out on a whim, a few months ago, after reading the back of the box. Lagered gave us Boondock Saints to watch the other night. Willem DaFoe was very good as the gay FBI agent and Billy Connelly was as wonderful as always.

This weekend we have 1408 (John Cusack/Samuel L. Jackson) , Mr. Brooks (Kevin Costner/Demi Moore), Spiderman 3 and Hostel II.

I saw 1408 the other week - the first part is excellent. Very nicely scary stuff. And Willem Dafoe is just...rarrrrrr......

That's the one!

Goodness sake Hien! How long did that take you.

I've got 1408 at home - looking forward to it!

I'd guess about 2 minutes since he googles everything. The copy/paste probably took the most time.
