Goodness sake Hien! How long did that take you.

I'd guess about 2 minutes since he googles everything. The copy/paste probably took the most time.

Guilty as charged. Googled for it in less than 10 seconds, and the copying/pasting job took longer than 2 minutes as I was constantly distracted by a group of hyperactive kids running aroud, shouting, screaming, shrieking -- all at the same time -- while their parents sat at a table busy playing a game of mahjong!

Watched Hostel II last night. Out of 95 minutes of film, the first 60 are quite tame and the set-up for the last 35. If you had a problem watching Hostel I, don't rent this one. If you thought Hostel I was tame - go for II. I don't think I ever want to met the people who actually think up this stuff. Mind you, I really like this type of movie, but the creators are just on the border of being over the top.

Mikey - you'll like Hostel II, I think. I'm sure we'll be watching Saw IV at some point. Just can't resist wanting to see what they come up with for each sequel.

Maybe we should pin that TP Movie Club thread? Since there's already a pinned Book Club thread...

I haven't been watching any movies. I wanted to watch Lust, Caution, but they're showing the censored version here and I don't like movies that have been tampered with unnecessarily.

Okay - it's stickied! (Now Mikey will be able to find it! )

We watched Spiderman 3 and Mr. Brooks over the weekend.

Spiderman 3 was okay. As usual, the special effects were good but the storyline just seemed weak. I realize it followed the storyline of the comics and the cartoon but I was bored through most of it. Oh well.

Mr. Brooks was surprisingly very good. I was skeptical but enjoyed it completely. It has that psychological thriller aspect, plus the repartee between Costner and William Hurt reminded me of a Hitchcock movie. (I won't give away the character Hurt plays.) I'm hoping that 1408 will be as good as Mr. Brooks.

i saw No Country For Old Men this week. really great performance especially from Josh Brolin (definently comeback star of 2007) and Javier Bardem. but i think alot of people are going to be disappointed with the 3rd act. thats alls im going to say.

I watched Pan's Labyrinth last night - man it was gory. I thought it was a kiddie's movie!

Not long ago we watched Color Me Kubrick: A True...ish Story with John Malkovich. It had a good mix of comedy and drama with a touch of bittersweetness thrown in. Malkovich plays Alan Conway who pretends to be Stanley Kubrick. It works - for awhile...

I was tricked by a friend to watch Hannibal. She told me it was a romantic comedy.

Watched National Treasure yesterday and it was actually quite good (err..apart from Nicholas Cage)

Watched 3:10 to Yuma recently. Totally did not know it was a Western nor a remake of the 1957 film.

My boss was just talking about that movie. She really liked it.

We went to see Juno on the weekend. Great movie except for the utterly annoying main character's dialogue. Why she's up for an Oscar nomination is totally beyond me. Her dialogue sounded like my Dad trying to imitate a 16 year old. Painful!
