I live in Canada, the USA and Norway and am interested in the idea of taking a cruise. It is more convenient to catch a cruise in North America, but I am flexible to the possibility of Europe as well. I am unfamiliar with price ranges, durations, popular seasons, so any information would be a benefit. In addition, if you are aware of discounted or package deals, I would also be interested.
Hey I'm from the US and have done a cruise to Bermuda, but this summer I plan on doing a Greek Island Hopping tour in May '08. I've heard the tour around the Med. Sea are gorgeous, definately something to look into if your interested in cruising in Europe. Message me if you want more info about the cruise in Greece.
I have just booked my Antarctic cruise.
there are many offers if you google, put in Cruise ships for example and you will find a lot.
even here at TP I recognized an advertizer for cruises.(Kajak tours?)
anyway, study all the different offers very careful, what looks at the first sight cheeper then all the other offers may end up more expensiv if you add all the things who are not included, like fuel surcharge, travell insurance, transfers to/from the ship, excursions. There are sometimes also good deals including the intern.flight
It is time consuming to compare all the offers, but also fun.
Do you know how early you should book a cruise in advance? Also, do you know the average cost for a typical cruise?
depend where you will go,
some cruises have good last minutes deals,or they offer early birds prices.
It is hard to talk about prices if you dont give more specific information.
Prices depend also on the cabin typ, tripleor single, basic, luxury suit, outside cabin or on wich deck, also what ship,3-5000 passangers or 300.You see, there are many posibilitys.
I have checked only for Antarctic cruise and there are prices from $4000-15000 on the same ship, same trip.
have fun while sorting it out,
In my wanderings all over the net I came across this search engine:
It's pretty cool if you already know what you want, like having a certain starting point or a date and a duration. Once you have decided on a certain cruise (line, initiary, sailing date) it is then a question of patiently trolling the net for the best price.
