Danny,
Caesars Palace is about as ritzy as Vegas gets. I have several photos of CP now and from years ago. If you are staying at Caesars, you have a thicker wallet than most TP members! Have a great time.

I haven't stayed at Ceasars Palace but I imagine it to be like any other hotel in Vegas. Decent rooms and relatively cheap. You might get lucky and get a nice upgrade like we did a few years ago. Still not sure why the MGM chose to put us in the penthouse suite for 3 nights!! :) As a casino it's nice enough of course, but you get kind of jaded after a while in Vegas from all the glitter and jingles everywhere.

Not really.

Caesars Palace is considered a luxury resort. Definitely would not label it as "relatively cheap."

The property is going through a big cycle of updating older portions of the resort with the newest tower having just recently opened (Augustus tower).

I probably should have been clearer. It's relatively cheap because compared to a similar hotel in the rest of the world it's much cheaper. This, of course, because gambling is the main money maker and they all want you to stay in their hotel. When we did a tour of the US a few years ago, Vegas was one of the cheapest places to get accommodation. Of course you'll spend the difference (and more) on other things ....

Out of curiousity I went on their website. A basic room for tomorrow night will set you back US$300 plus taxes and fees, which probably is relatively cheap for a hotel of that calibre.
