I,m planning a rtw trip starting jan 2009. Saving commenced at 08:00 hours today when the tax rebate man spanked me with the good green. Just wondering if folk can list who they bought the ticket from, itineraries, cost and how trustworthy and easy the compay was.
ohhhhh yeah - the rewarding tax rebate, if ever theres a good time to start today is certainly the day!
i booked up with STA travel, ive heard some horror stories about then but i have to say i have had nothing but great response/advise from them - gave them my info of the places i wanted to visit with some initial dates i had planned, within a 2 month period of me deciding the final itinerary i was all booked up and ready to go!
word of warning, they will try and pursuade you to purchase travel insurance and visas through them, but i'd suggest looking else where - im certain you can get it cheaper when cutting out the middle man!
London - NYC - LA - Vegas - LA - New Zealand (Auckland) - Christchurch - Sydney - Melboune - Brisbane - Sydney - Bankok - Goa - Bombay - London
- making my own way onland from LA to Vegas and back, Auckalnd to Christchurch, Sydney to Melbourne, Brisbane to Sydney & Goa to Bombay
all in all my flights including taxes came to approx £1400
so yeah all in all STA Travel havent done me any harm and found them to be very professional & helpfull
