Not a serious discussion on photography, more a game similar to several found in Off Topic.

Here's the idea. I'll post a photo, then if you have a travel photo lying about somewhere that for some reason is similar (colour, shape, framing, subject matter, etc .. ) you post that photo to the thread. The next person looks at that photo and sees if they have anything similar, etc.. etc.. etc.. Once there's a good collection, I'll put them all into a blog entry so we can see the progression easily. Let's see where in the world this thing takes us and I'll be very curious to see what connections develop. ;)

To start, here's a pic I took last year in Dubrovnik of a church framed by a gap in the wall.

Hi Marlis (and anyone else who might be wondering),

Take the following steps.

1. Browse to the photo in your gallery (use the public gallery, ie.. http://www.travellerspoint.com/photos/gallery/users/Marlis/)

2. Copy the URL from your address bar. Should be the actual photo, so it will have a photoID in it, like this: http://www.travellerspoint.com/photos/stream/photoID/38004/users/Peter/

3. Reply to this thread and paste in the url. The best way to do this is to first type a description of the photo, like Q' typed "a hole and a tree..", then highlight that text, then hit the Url button at the top of the reply form. Paste your Url in there and it should work OK :)

Hope it helps. Send me a message if you want me to explain it more in-depth

Quoting Peter

The best way to do this is to first type a description of the photo, like Q' typed "a hole and a tree..", then highlight that text, then hit the Url button at the top of the reply form. Paste your Url in there

Or just type directly before and directly after the link.

Actually, here: Click on the Quote link above this post, and then in the textarea, copy the following line from my post:

"behind the arch"

So highlight the above line, and then copy it.
Then hit the back button, click on the Edit link above your previous post, and Paste.
