Hi everyone how you all doing? This Sean here in sunny Weymouth, Dorset, England.

I'm going travelling, for the first time ( yes that's right i'm a backpacking virgin ), to Oz and New Zealand in early Dec.
Me and a couple of mates decided enough was enough and it was about time we saw the world, before George W Bush or some other nutter blows it up.

Seriously though i am well looking forward to it, if not just abit apprehensive. It'll be the first time i've been in another country for Christmas so that'll be different especially as it will be hot.

Anyway i'm rambling now so ill shut up, just wanted to say hello.

Sean :)

You know, i was just starting to like you, until you went and put in that gawd awful swearword.

Seriously??? wtf? Why the heck would you spoil it all saying such a thing? you should be ashamed of yourself.

btw, don't be aprehensive about Xmas away. Its likely to be warmer (or even sunny), the bars will be open all day instead of just a couple of hours, and will be much cheaper. In addition, Xmas/New year in hostels tend to be absolutely brilliant fun, and a great crack. But be aware that if the crack is that good, chances are your future reminiscing will include the fond memory of muttering to your mate "damned, but that was fun" as you regain consciousness and note that you don't recall you hostel have a room you are looked into and solid iron bars for a door.

happy traveling

(btw 2 - can you even have 2 btw's? if not. HA. I'm doing it anyway - i still believe that your almost certainly lying. Your almost certainly sitting down, possibly lying (the other form), but if you really can type whilst rambling along, fair play. It must be a wonderful skill to have. I struggle to even drink when rambling without chucking it all over my nose or front. Although admittedly, that's not much different to Friday evenings)

Hi!

I am heading off in January. You will have a few weeks on me so you can check out the bars for me!

Where you heading for first?

Tom.

Thank you for such a warm, if not slightly unconventional, welcome (Gelli- seriously when did I swear, I was trying to restrain myself, honest).
Still if you were drinking in the early hours of the morning, then fairplay.
I'm planning on going to Sydney first, Melbourne next and then New Zealand. After that the world is literally my oyster.

Sean :)

PS- Gelli, Rambling means waffling, wittering etc. obviously you understand, you're a natural. LOL

as a shot in the dark, I would assume "George W. Bush" would be just as bad as a swear-word

K ;)

Sorrry to anyone who I offended. K thanks for the heads up, and on reflection, he who shall not be named, is probablly universally acknowledged as swearing.

Sorry

Sean :)

Hi Sean, Absolutely no problem mentioning that Walker guy in such a context, or in fairness any other - this isn't a political board, and you can belive/support who the heck you like.

The swear word (to me anyway) i didn't like was "Seriously".... That's really not a word i like hearing. And you had to go and say it again trying to apologise...

Also no need to bother apologising for things either, especially when you've done nothing wrong...

Welcome, and hope you stick around and find TP of use

Zoe - Hi, sorry (yes, i know i'm contradicting above), yes i had noticed you'd posted a few times, but have had a couple of slight PC probs and hadn't got around to welcoming you.
Welcome. Come Join us. And with regard to your Europe trip, i spend my life bouncing around Europe at long angles, and whilst Dec/Jan is far to far in the future, chances are i'll still be travelling around then, so could quite possibly arrange to hook up for a few days or just a few beers somewhere if that's any use to you.
