I joined this site recently, have found it very usefull, especially some of the Latin America links here(I thought commercial links were not allowed tho??). I'm a lifelong traveller, been to 16 countries in my 24 years and more travel planned soon to South Amnerica.
Cool places visited are: Iraq, Libya, Hungary, Czech Republic, USA, Spain, Holland, France, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Germany(Except Frankfurt).
Places I disliked visiting are: Bulgaria, Germany (Frankfurt Only), Turkey and worst of all, JORDAN.
Appologise to all Bulgarians, Germans, Turks and Jordanians.
Welcome to TP aysar!
Hope we can help you in all your other travels! I've only been to the Frankfurt airport (heard bad things about the city and decided not to go in the end)...what was so bad about it in your experience? Berlin and Munich are great tho...
Thanks for the reply katie, you are the first reply I have recieved on here, so it proves people do read my posts, phew.
Whats bad about Frankfurt, ok, where shall I start.
1: It rained the whole 3 days I was there.
2: The hostel I stayed at was empty and as I was travelling alone, I had hoped to meet fellow travelers at the hostel and sight see together, this never happened. On top of that, it was dirty, and I was put in an 8 bed dorm with one other couple from the Phillipines that started getting intimate one night, whilst I was in the room, a very strange feeling. I had to really try hard stop myself breaking into uncontrolable giggling and laughter, she was making a very funny noise.
3: Apart from the Jewish museum, there was not much to see, ok, there are all the modern skyscrapers, whey-hey, how interesting.
4: I had to remind myself I was in Germany the whole time as I was so comprehensively bored. Ok, to be honest, a short train trip away were the historic towns of Gissen and Freidburg, they are quite nice.
5: A final interesting note on Frankfurt, it seemed to be a giant pornograpy centre. I mean, there were sex shops, brothels, strip clubs etc etc in every street. There is even a sex shop at the Airport, good idea for the more frustrated trevellers amongst us, but sadly, not my cup of tea.
I somehow don't think the Frankfurt tourism board ( AKA, Frankfurt terrorism board) will be hiring me to represent their city. Oh, did I mention, food is quite good and so is shopping. Can I have that job as tourism representative now? please.
