Hi everyone,

My title says it all. I'm looking for a CHEAP way to get from Frankfurt to Munich, anything below 40 Euros would be appreciated. The cheaper the better, for me, really. Thanks in advance!

I'd say train, so I was checking on bahn.de which is the German national train system. The normal rate appears to be 81 EUR (it's about a 3 hour trip) on ICE which is a relatively high speed train if I'm not mistaken. But on the same rows you'll see the 'savings fare' and that's around 30 to 40 from what I saw. There's no refunds allowed it appears, so you'd have to be sure of your dates and times, but it looks like a good deal and very much within the price range you're after. A main benefit of the train is that it gets you to the heart of the city as opposed to flying where you usually end up shelling out for a train from the airport at about the same rate as a low cost flight these days...

ICE trains are the high speed trains and are the most convenient for inter-city travel in Germany. I regularly used these trains when i was in Germany and was impressed by their punctuality.

The travel time is around 3hrs 15 minutes and ICE trains depart every hour from the Frankfurt main station to Munich. If u get the saver fare as Sam mentioned it would cost u 29 or 39 euros only
