Dakie:

I've been on the website, and I can book for February 5th-12th!

I have not done it yet, but I 'pretend' to book, so that I see the final price and everything, and it was possible...

Very cheap too!

Hi,

Id highly highly recommend The Haven Hostel in Kuala Lumper - http://www.thehavenkl.com/

Its a very western themed Hostel in the center of the city an a gr8 place to meetup with fellow travellers - its a cool funky hostel with gr8 staff an about 10mins walk from main bus station.

Stayed there for a week an one of my fav places ive stayed in teh last 5months travelling through Asia

There are quite a number of cheap hotels along the Bintang Walk (main shopping destination in KL) such as Agora Hotel, Cardogan Hotel, Federal Hotel, Nova Hotel and The Malaysia Hotel. I always stay in one of those when I go to KL for shopping. Shopping complexes such as Sungei Wang, Lot 10, Starhill Gallery and Low Yat Plaza are just within walking distance.

It's not hard to travel around KL. You can travel with a cab, but make sure u ask to be charged on mileage meter. Using the LRT is also convenient, there are 2 main LRT lines in KL namely Star LRT and Putra LRT. They bring you to most of the main places around Klang Valley (Metropolitan KL), while the KTM (train) brings you to the other places. Their interchange is in KL Sentral. Enjoy.
