Hey. We're a couple of german friends who will be travelling around in the southern parts of the country in july-august. Hows the weather? I know its in the middle of the wet season, but how bad is it? Do we have to expect rain every day?

Help would really be appreciated. :)

I'm pretty sure it rains every afternoon. But it shouldn't be too too bad. I was there a few years back but it was May, June and it rained pretty much every day. Often at night if not in the afternoon. However I wasn't so far south, more in the middle of the country. You should got anyways, just bring some rain gear and have fun!

Thank you for your answer. Is it like a shower in the afternoon where the sky opens, and mostly sunny besides that, or is it raining for hours the whole evening? Or... how predictable is the rain, and does it ruin the beachlife and the nice, sunny athmosphere?

Some days it didn't rain. Sometimes a quick rain. Other times huge rains with crazy flooding. But the sun seemed to shine quite a bit in between. I wouldn't be too worried. I'm sure it'll be lots of fun. As I mentioned, often it would rain at night and be dry by morning.
