I am travelling with eurostar to paris from london arriving at paris nord. I then have to get to paris montparnasse to catch a connecting train to poitiers, is it better to go by metro or by taxi and does anyone have an idea of the cost of a taxi? thanks stokesy

I'd go by Metro, unless you have a lot of bags. The Metro runs often and is very, very convenient. Montparnasse is a pretty big station, too, so there are a few lines connecting there. You may even get to ride the super-fast moving sidewalk!

go by metro! it's a straight shot on the 4 train, it should take roughly 35 minutes. and I agree with tway, you gotta take the moving sidewalk.
