IainOB1 has indicated that this thread is about Australia

Can I ask when entering Australia, eg into Sydney, do I need to still get a stamp put in my passport, as on the information that was sent in the email, granting my visa, it states that there will be no stamp as it is linked to the passport numbers. But it is not clear as if I still need to get a stamp of some sort which i have read that we needed to do after passport control.

Can anyone advice

Can almost feel the adventure lol Can't wait.

That might just be the normal entrance stamp they are talking about. Everyone gets this, regardless of visa type. You get another one when leaving - I love countries that still stamp your passport! :) As far as I'm aware, you don't have to do anything further once you have received your visa (assume you are talking about a working holiday visa?).

It's not necessary for entering the country, but you do need to get the actual working holiday visa sticker in your passport to show to any place where you might want to work. You can get this sticker immediately after passport control at Sydney airport, or at any of the immigration offices in the big cities. (Note: it's been a couple of years since I went though this, so they might have done away with the sticker too? But I doubt it...)

They've definitely done away with it. You just walk through. No sticker, everything's electronically linked to your passport number..

I got this from the official site.

"Visa labels
If you apply online and are granted an electronic visa, you will not have a visa label placed in your passport. The visa is linked electronically to the passport details provided in your visa application.
Note: It is advisable that you keep a copy of your visa grant notification with you when you travel.

You do not need to have a visa label in your passport unless the department places this condition on your visa. You will be advised of this requirement in your visa grant notification letter. However, any Working Holiday visa holder who chooses to, may have a visa label placed in their passport.
Example: To show evidence to employers of your work rights.

If you arrive at Sydney Airport, you may have your visa label printed before you leave the airport. When your passport is stamped on entry, ask for directions to the Visa Label desk.
Once you are in Australia, go to any departmental office to have your visa label printed."
