Hello! Im thinking of doing a Trek America tour - probably the footloose National Parks of the West Tour. Has anyone here done this tour? If so, what was it like?! Im 19 and will be travelling on my own. What is the sort of age range like who go on these tours and also are their many people doing it on their own. Because i dont really want to be stuck with a group of older couples! Ive noticed that the National Parks of the West tour is much cheaper than all the rest, does anyone know why? I thought perhaps because there's few cities but lots of national parks?! Any help/advice appreciated!
I have done most of the west's parks, but on my own. At 19, I think you will be the youngest member of the tour. Just because there are mostly older couples on the tour doesn't mean that you won't have a good time.
Check with Trek America and voice your concerns.
I did a traditional (18-35s) Trek America tour last time I was in the States. Along the way we bumped into a lot of other Trek tour groups, including a couple of Footloose tours. The ages of the people on these tours was definitely varied but, not in a bad way. Yes, you'll be the youngest on your tour, but at 19 so was I. Lots of young adventurous people join the Footloose tours, you WON'T be stuck with a group of oldies And lots of Trek-ers are solo travellers, so you have no worries there either. I loved my Trek tour and recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, active and social way of seeing the States
