My fiance and I are flying into London and staying four days over Christmas then taking the Euostar to Paris for another four over New Years Eve;. Any ideas about what to do or things to group together to make the most of the trip? Also we are both under 26 and do enjoy a good time of drinking so any favorite pubs or pub crawls would be great or some good places to get a good bite to eat on a budget. Also if ther might be a general itenerary you could throw out that would be nice. We are planning on having 90 USD per day for lodging/food/etc. Any information is good information, thanks.
Well London/Paris are two of the most expensive cities in Europe. So watch your wallet! 90 Bucks is gna be tight.
In London stay around Kings Cross for cheaper Hotels. There are heaps of hostels in the city as well.
For drinking (cheapish) and good value try Camden town - not far from Kings Cross either.
Try the Jack the Ripper tour - worth it!
Paris - drinking holes are usually centered around the Sorbonne and the Bastille. But again watch the prices - I managed to pay 8 euros for a half pint at a pub in the Bastille....they must have heard my American Accent from miles.
To eat - The Brasseries are the cheaper option to restaurants. They are everywhere. You could also sustain yourself on the cities overabundance and love of the Crepe.
Thanks! og and just to clarify that is 90 USD each so 180 USD per day total, is that still not enough?
