Quoting Sam I Am

Quoting Piecar

I love the Gilmore Girls...THERE! it´s out! Love me for who I am, dammit!!

Hehehe.

Has anyone gotten into the Wire? We got the first two seasons for xmas 07 and after watching the entire two seasons in about a week, ordered 3 and 4 which we proceeded to watch within the week after we received them too. Then we had to wait a few months till season 5 was out which then was also watched in a week or so. Now it's over forever

Anyway, that's obviously been my favourite over the past few years.

House is hilarious and Dexter is another one I'm into, but I watch those alone. They're on quite late and the missus never got into it.

But mostly trying to fill the void after the Wire. Wondering if maybe I should get started on the Sopranos?

My boyfriend absolutely loves the Wire - he reckons it's one of the best things HBO have ever shown. I haven't really got in to it yet.

The only problem with the Wire is that you really have to get into it and that requires watching at least a few of the first episodes in full, preferably all in a row

The missus and me have gotten stuck in Heroes this week. Man, it's much better than I thought it would be!! First season, so don't ruin any surprises please ;) We just finished the first 8 episodes (3 evenings), but can't wait to watch some more....

Derek - don't be ashamed of watching Gilmore Girls. At least you have an excuse - that's more than our best friend had and he was hooked too. I'd call him, he'd answer with "GILMORE GIRLS" and hang up.

Sam - go for The Sopranos. We've watched all but the last season and that's in our Netflix queue. Just be prepared for the F-word (among others) in every sentence. If you have watched Deadwood it will be about the same. Love Deadwood too and wish it had lasted longer than 3 seasons but that was Milch's plan. Ian McShane is definitely at his best. Then there's Rome - another purposefully short series but also excellent.

We really got into Weeds and are waiting for season 3 to hit the stores. Showtime took some chances with that one but, again, worth every watching minute. We have a few movies queued up first but then we'll be getting season 2 of Dexter and season 1 of Californication.

Michael - our guilty pleasures are The Rockford Files (James Garner), Magnum P.I. (Tom Selleck) and Simon & Simon (Jameson Parker/Gerald McRaney).

Not much different from the Wire then :)

Dang--Neal and I have finished everything we had waiting in the DVD queue. I looked for Father Ted over here, but couldn't find it anywhere. I think I may pay Amazon a visit to pick up Fire Walk With Me and a few surprises...

Hmm...

I've just started watching The Wire and I think it's awesome.

I also love Scrubs and Smallville :)

I balk at ANYONE calling the Rockford Files a "guilty" pleasure....Easily one of the greatest classic tv shows ever. Used to have his answering machine message as my answering machine message.

Simon and Simon...yes, a guilty pleasure.

By the way, Magnum is currently being filmed for the big screen.

still watching top gear a lot, theres so many repeats on tv thats easy to see it a few times a week, i'm also addicted very shamefully to any house shows, whether its doing them up, knocking them down, selling them, it appeals to my nosey nature.........

Okay - got me there - Rockford isn't a guilty pleasure - just sheer pleasure. Gotta love Angel even if he's a schmuck and Isaac Hayes as Gandy - "Hey Rockfish!" I'll take that Firebird any day, even after all the abuse it's taken.

Didn't know about the Magnum movie - Matthew McConaughey??????? He could work... Maybe... Will he be wearing those little running shorts????
