Ok,
It's the end of the year again and on the radio in the Netherlands we can hear one Top 1000 after another, every radiostation has it's own.
In general thought Veronica has the best list and this is their top 20. What do you think and do you have such yearly lists as well on the radio?? O, by the way, the top 3 is not sure yet, still able to vote on that.

1. Queen Bohemian Rhapsody
2. U2 One
3. Guns 'n' Roses November Rain
4. Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven
5. Robbie Williams Angels
6. Metallica One
7. Meat Loaf Paradise By The Dashboard Light
8. Dire Straits Brothers In Arms
9. Golden Earring Radar Love
10. Coldplay Clocks
11. Bryan Adams Summer Of 69
12. Eagles Hotel California
13. Phil Collins In The Air Tonight
14. Deep Purple Child In Time
15. Queen I Want To Break Free
16. Prince Purple Rain
17. AC/DC Whole Lotta Rosie
18. U2 With Or Without You
19. Supertramp School
20. Guns N' Roses Sweet Child Of Mine

Cheers! Michael

LOL, yes, that's what I think as well. It's not bad to be honest, but it is always the same number 1 every single year. And if there is another number 1 then it is Angels by Robbie Williams...I don't get it.

Probably too soppy for a guy?

By Top 1000 do you mean they rank 1000 songs? Isn't that a little too many? I wouldn't remember which would be nr. 459 or something!

You can vote for your own top 10 out of all the songs you know.

Where oh where oh where are The Beatles?????

Over here, Stairway to Heaven is always voted #1. But we don't have that fly-by-night Robbie Williams on the charts!

1. Queen Bohemian Rhapsody a top 10 yes, no.1 no

3. Guns 'n' Roses November Rain great track, but not a top 20
4. Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven top 3 track
5. Robbie Williams Angels No chance of a top 20, 30 maybe
6. Metallica One Nothing else matters maybe
7. Meat Loaf Paradise By The Dashboard Light hell no, have these people no taste !!!
8. Dire Straits Brothers In Arms classic album but never a top 20 single
9. Golden Earring Radar Love ha ha ha, no taste, no chance
10. Coldplay Clocks coldplay, hell no, not a top 200 place for this!!!
11. Bryan Adams Summer Of 69 cheesy pop, not worthy of a place here
12. Eagles Hotel California Top 10 track possibly
13. Phil Collins In The Air Tonight Top 30 maybe, but not up this high
14. Deep Purple Child In Time smoke on the water

18. U2 With Or Without You never good enough for a top 50 place
19. Supertramp School no chance of even in the top 100
20. Guns N' Roses Sweet Child Of Mine great track, but not worthy of top 20

LOL, great reply on that one Jase.
Must admit, lots of tracks are way to high on the list and of course it is based on dutch taste only, which is not that good sometimes to say the least.
What would be your top 5 by the way, apart from Led Zeppelin? O by the way, Led Zeppelin performs in London. The first time in 20 years that they are together again.

Personally, I think it is hard to just say what my top 5 would be, it changes all the time although I have some alltime favorites, like Paranoid, Black Sabbath.
But I also have rather weird tastes compared to the top lists. For example Murray Head with One night in Bangkok I just like a lot. And I miss some great dance hits like Safri Duo with Played Alive and some Faithless music.
On the other hand, I miss some golden oldies from the sixties. For some reason I just like Mrs. Robinson....
And Trouble or Lets Talk of Coldplay I found way better than Clocks.

And certainly no Robbie W. or Bryan A. in the list, not even top 1000!

And uhm Jase...Golden Earring...it is Dutch;)
