Yeah, also as hectic as hell for me.

- Australia.

LOL.
But don't forget: Australia is just as big as Europe without Russia, so actually you have been to about 50 countries
No seriously, it is so much different for people of very big countries to visit other countries. I mean, I can wake up, drive to France, Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany and be home at that same night.

I know this will sound daft to those who don't know me (and probably those that do as well), but it's been a slow year for me.

I've been based in Norway, England and the Czech Republic as well as Sweden, and from beginning 2007 celebrating Romania's entry to the EU in Bucuresti, in no particular order i've also been to:

Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Denmark, Belarus, Belgium, France, Great Britain (Eng, Sco and Wal), Italy, Monaco, BiH (Srpska), Slovakia, Poland, Finland, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Norway. Plus probably one or two that i've forgotten.

Excepting Italy, Monaco, Montenegro, Tajikistan and BiH, i've been to all at least twice, most many more times, and, technically, as i've been on a few bases and in a few embassies, i can add a handful of others as well, though they are almostcheating as much as airport transits.

I'll add Ireland and Northern Ireland by the end of the year (which i think will be the first time i'll have been in all 4 UK countries in the same calender year).

I've barely left the continent, and no new countries at all

Wow Gelli - it really has been a slow year for you. I think you'll have to try much harder in 2008.

LOL Rich!
And you haven't even visited the Netherlands
Party spoiler Utrecht says Kosovo is technically not a country....yet;)

Really, Tajikistan is such an exotic place and really a dream destination of mine. Any tips

So slack for you in '07. I hope you pick up the pace a bit in '08 or we'll dub you "Go-slow Gelli"

- Did a "girls weekend" in Toronto, Ontario (Canada!) in February - really only about an hour from my house, but hey, we stayed a couple nights in a hotel and spend copious amounts of money shopping.

- New York City for a week (on the cheap) with my two now ex-roommates to celebrate the end of school in May

- Frankenmuth, Michigan (US) for our August long weekend with the family (a little Bavarian town... in Michigan!)

Nothing too extravagant, but all enjoyable.
