hey there everyone,
i am going to iceland for the second time in early january next year. prolly for about 2 weeks. anyone else going there around that time. i loved it so much last time and i am going to rent a car and do some travelling to some far out sweet as natural springs as well as do the whole party scene in reykjavik.
i am an aussie guy 24, i speak fleunt german and english ( no comments about my grammar please ) and also fairly good at swedish and know a bit of icelandic. spending 2 weeks in germany as well but that will mainly be taken up with visiting friends etc.
also i have to endure a 19 hours stop over in seoul. does anyone know what to do?? it is on boxing night the 26th of december, 19hours of hell. anyone got any suggestions??
have a good one and get back to me.
I'll reply, but doubt its helpful.
would absolutely love to go to iceland, but i don't fly, and in winter theres no other way, so looking like it will be next summer.
With regard to seoul, look at it as an opportunity instead of hell. Sure you can amuse yourself just wandering around for a day, but If all else fails, theres almost certainly an irish bar with aussie staff there - there almost always is, especially in large places - so you can drink away a few hours watching the boxing day test or some such on the tv there!!!
umm why dont you fly??? there is many many more people killed from crossing the road, many many many more killed from train crashes and many many many many many more killed from car accidents every year. so if you are going to go to australia you would drive to singapore ( would take about 2 months ) and then boat to indonesia and then boat to australia??
i think the 19 hours in south korea will be fun its just not enough time to do anything but way to long to sit arund the air port. ill probably hostel it in incheon and ale it the whole night
anyone else going to iceland?? or can offer any tips what to see in winter?? when i went there i didnt have much money or time so i only saw the normal stuff.
Ok, since I'm from Iceland I'm really happy you like my country, but I really don't see an Iceland related question in there.. It it just me? I can't help you with the Seoul stopover but if you have any questions about Iceland, I'll be happy to answer them.
