Hi intrepid walkers,
Is it possible to do this walk in a day? If so how long does it take going quickly, or meandering? It sounds like an interesting way to finish a trip to Sapa B4 taking the overnight train back to Hanoi. There will be 4 of us in late January - 2 fit 20 year olds, one medium fit 56 year old & a quite unfit 50 year old - all downhill would be nice.
I think I just found the answer to my own question. A day walk to Lao Cai is out of the question but to Lao Chai is easy. Unfortunatel the train station is at Lao Cai.
HaHa yes i would'nt try walking it in a day for most of the walk it would be downhill but it's quite a long walk I would'nt try it myself.
lol...it is around 30km from Lao Cai to Sapa , i guess. You can easily walk 30km in a day, but this is walking on mountain, it must takes longer.
I saw some guys who travelled by walking from Lao Cai to Sapa. The scenery on the way is great. Old men or women shouldn't take this tour, lol...but young guys are recommended...he he..
it is much easier then climbing to PhanXipang mount
