It worked fine last night, but tonight I tried it twice and it just won't work. None of the Copy To options work, the Tags, Location, nor Date.

Has something changed? This is such a useful function, I'd really appreciate it if it could be fixed.

Thanks.

Yep, something has changed.. I'll look into it shortly - didn't notice that bug. Thanks for letting us know.

Hmm, actually I couldn't recreate the bug in my browser at least. I did do a slight bit of renaming that may help you - perhaps you can try again to see if that was the problem. Though really, I'm not quite sure because it already was working for me.

I tried it again tonight and still doesn't work for me. I left my uploaded photo's in the editor (didn't fix the copies manually). The date on the first one is correct (Dec 8, 2007) - I only upload one day's photo's at a time, or I could never keep them straight. It's midnight here, so will quit for tonight. If you can figure this out, I'd appreciate it! This used to be a very helpful feature for me.

I suspect it's the way the javascript was compressed causing the problem, particularly affecting your browser.

I've recompressed the file in question (using a different compressor), which should be less likely to cause problems. Can you try it again for me to see if it works? Just be sure to hit the refresh button once you're on the editing page, otherwise it might still be using the old one.

Alas, it still doesn't work. I tried refreshing the page first as you suggested.

Before I clicked on "Copy to other photo's", the bottom status bar said "Javascript:void(0)"

I typed something in the Tag box and clicked on "Copy to other photo's" again.

The bottom status bar changed to "!Error on page". The color of the words "Copy to other photo's" did change as if it had worked, but the other pictures did not get the tag.

Ok, I think we have this figured out now. In fact, it's a wonder it ever worked in IE from the looks of it. Give it another refresh and see if it works now!!

Yes! It works nicely now - thank you very much!

Excellent. Glad to have that resolved!

Let me also explain what actually changed ..

Basically, the option is now much better to delete photos that you just uploaded. Previously it would take you to another confirmation page - the problem being that you could lose everything that you happened to have typed on the editing page! Now, it will flag the photo as deleted straight away (allowing you to undo if you want) and then when you save the photos it will delete any that you flagged for deletion.

Also, the "did you mean?" suggestion is better in that it now allows you to not select any of the options presented.

I actually think the uploader is pretty much ready to not be considered "beta" any more, so if there are still any lingering issues - please let us know!

Taking it out of "beta" would basically mean not linking the other single-file uploader as prominently - making the bulk uploader the obvious choice.

Do make certain to get rid off the alert when flash isn't installed, and just redirect straight to the regular upload form.
