Back to the frowning!

I'm frowning because our toilet only wants to flush successfully every 10th time. :(

I'll trade! My toilet has once again taken to flushing itself at random. Often in the middle of the night!

Why do I feel like there's a joke here.........(turning head from side to side..) No sh*t? Yes sh*t? No sh*t? Yes sh*t?

Not much to frown about now...the rain put a damper on my wild and crazy afternoon of lawnmowing. The only potential downside is that the grass will grow so tall and eventually envelop the house in a vain attempt to devour G and I, that we may not be seen in public for some time. Would someone mind terribly sending over some cat food and a box of biscuits?

Getting up at 5.45am to go to my gym only to find its not opening until 9am - WTF!! I was hoping to have a work out and then use the showers cos l currently dont have one (see smile thread!) but no so l had to go back home and wash at the kitchen sink again - NOT PLEASANT!!

Its a long weekend in NI - but (a) Its been raining continously; (b) The natives tend to get restless and take to the streets marching & (c) Not before doing their bit for global warming and burning "bonfires" - anything they can lay their hands on - tonight.

Hostage all weekend in my house - all signs of civilization close up tomorrow and theres nowhere to go or see cos all closed and the roads are all blocked with people marching. Dont ask me why (well l do know why but l cant be bothered to explain!) - still l suppose l could go watch the bands.... or not!

Toilet? Flushing? You are lucky

I didn't frown in sadness so much as confusion, but when I clicked on Iran's doctored missile image on Yahoo, the message that came up was:

Your request is prohibited because it would cause a cycle.

What cycle? Where? Would it hurt someone? Yeesh.

1) Never take Purdy camping unless it's in a 5-star hotel with showers in every room.

2) Flushing toilet - T, you are lucky. Stop frowning. Wait until it stops flushing - completely.

------------------

Receiving an e-mail from a friend a few minutes ago... It contained the link for the Geert Wilders video which is still up on google video. (Watched it when Wouter posted a thread about it so no need to watch it again.) But, that's not what made me frown. The culprit was the text that went along with the link. Each time it's been forwarded, someone has added their opinion: This is what we're up against so beware and prepare!" "Don't be fooled, they have just begun the war." "NEVER FORGET & ALWAYS PRAY!!" "This is far from over as they infiltrate our country, our communities, our children." And on and on it goes...

I just want to scream "Stop fanning the flames of fear!" You live in f*cking nowhereland and your house is not a target. Do something constructive and get a life. Oh, and remove me from your address book because I don't need you, your e-mails or your prayers to be save me." (But I digress...)

I'm not a big fan of Dr. Phil, but I've always liked this one bit of his wisdom: "You'd stop worrying about what other people think of you if you realized how little time they spend thinking about you."

So despite the media, the hype, the fear, the whatever, the vast majority of the Muslim population probably spends the vast majority of their time thinking about their own dang lives. I'd even say North Americans think and worry about Muslims more than Muslims think and worry about North Americans.
