Doug - never trust an "optical" mouse. Mice have very poor eye sight except after dark - after dark, their eye sight improves greatly. Problem... By the time their eye sight improves enough to work with your computer, you're in bed - asleep. My mouse is an optical mouse but it's also plugged into my computer. Reason... If it falls asleep while I want to use it, the computer gives it a jolt of electrical juice to wake it up and do it's job. I don't trust an optical mouse without a plug up it's butt. They are not trustworthy. They fall asleep of the job. I like the optical mouse with the plug up it's butt because i don't need to clean the roller ball any more. Other than that, don't trust them. They also like cheese. They will raid you refrigerator in a heartbeat and still not do the job they were (supposedly) designed to do - because they are full of cheese. (You said if you wanted culture, you'd go to a cheese factory... Mice like that...) Forego the cordless optical mice -they are not trustworthy...

I have, just to-day, returned the cordless mouse to the store from whence it came and now have a new mouse, dull gray, with cord, attached to computer.

With cord....I frown....More cables....The back of the computer looks like a snake farm.

By the way, when I was behind the computer desk, fighting off all those cables, I found a loonie.....That made me smile. I showed Sue the loonie..She took it...I am frowning......

What's a loonie? (other than my good self)

I think it's a buck

Yup - the loonie (or looney) is worth 1 Canucki-Buck. It sports Queen Elizabeth II of Canada on one side and a common loon swimming on the other. They also have the toonie (or tooney) which also has the Queen on one side but a polar bear on an ice flow on the other. It's worth 2 Canucki-Bucks. The Canuckistanis like basing their money on their wildlife and giving them cute little names.

As Robin Williams said on Braodway: "Canadian money is also called "the Looney"; how can you take an economic crisis seriously?"

So great l will get lumbered with a presentation to do and not very much time to prepare for it!! You know 1.5 hours is a very long time to be talking even for me

And ok lm generalising here but MEN they have been making me frown quite a lot today too

Where in the world are you now? It's cold here in London. Only 11C at the moment (12:20 am) and it'll drop to as low as 7C in a few hours.
