Hi,
Welcome to India !

There are so many places to visit in india both with natural beauty and cultural diversity and historical monuments. It depends on your interest. Also there are so many things to do in india just other than travelling like you can learn Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation at some ashrams all over india.

I would recommend Goa(beaches), Kerala(natural beauty and backwarters), Delhi(monuments), Rajasthan - forts (Jaipur, Pushkar, Jaiselmer, Udaipur etc), Himachal(Dharamshala, Simla, Manali), Bodhgaya, Agra(Taj Mahal), Khajurao Temple etc

Also Varanasi and Rishikesh are highly spiritual experience on the bank of ganges river. East and South india is also as much interesting.

Actually india is full of places to visit. In each corner of india you will find something of interest.

And you cant cover all india in one go. thats for sure. Hence start and enjoy the experience of lifetime.

You can plan either in winter, summer or monsoon weather.

Have a Nice Travel,
Aman

Hi
There are so many places to see in India.I you want to visit a hill station then Himachal pradesh (A state in india} has most beautiful hill stations.Particularly shimla,Kullu and manali are worth mentioning.Uttaranchal is another sate with nice hill stations.

I f you wish to see beaches then Goa is No.1 .others are mumbai, chennai, and some places in Kerala.

But i suggest you to some places with historical backgrounds.Historical places and rich cultural heritage make India different from other countries. So,just visit the state of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.Never forget Agra, the place where Taj Mahal is located.

India is quite big and has so many places to see. I would be in a better position to advise if u r specific about the following:

1. what time of the year and for how many weeks u intend to visit India
2. which city ur flying in and from where ur flying out
3. specific interests that u may have, like culture, beaches, hills, forest, etc

Cheers

hi,
i will not ask you any questions. Regardless of whether you have time or not.......
The following places define India -
1) Haridwar , Rishikesh - for spiritual experience.
2) "Ghats" of Banaras ( Varanasi )
3) Taj Mahal (Agra)
4) Bodh Gaya ( bihar) , a place where "Buddha" got enlightenment . but be careful Bihar is not a very safe place and i am not scaring you .
5) Forts of Rajasthan - Udaipur , Jodhpur....
6) "Badhavgarh" Tiger sanctuary and Temples of Khajurao ( Madhya Pradesh )
7) 'Sasan Gir" Lion sanctuary in Gujarat .
8) and of course my home in Ahmedabad ( Gujarat ), you are most welcome here..!

ALL THE BEST !

Is it unsafe in Mumbai after 6pm

this is the funniest that i have ever heard. Mumbai is considered the safest city in India for females and local trains, public buses and public places are safe till midnight:)

This is regarding Bihar. I have lots of bitter experience. I won't advice any one to visit Bihar. You travel to enjoy! you spend a lot of money while travelling. In Bihar you are always scared!! Somebody may cheat you, steal your belongings, tease female members of your group, occupy your reserved seat and harass you in every possible way. Places of interests are there, but litters everywhere! beggars everywhere! Horrible.
