I am heading to Australia for 3 weeks next year mid June. Is going to touch down Gold Coast, then Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne.

I was thinking to do skiing and skydiving.

where can i do the above 2 activities out from the four places?

You can go from melbourne to a few diferent places. mt bulla, mt hotham. lots of companies offer trips.

Or there are places in new south wales, thredbo is poplular, not sure how its spelt, or even where it is exactly.

I have no idea about skydiving, although I'm guessing we'd do it somewhere.

For Skiing, the most popular areas I think are Thredbo, Falls Creek, Mt Buller, Perisher Blue, Mt Hotham, all in Victoria and NSW. The main mountain range here starts from around the center of Victoria (~3 hrs drive NE of Melbourne, where Mt Buller is) and extends north east into NSW. I don't think any of the resorts are very close Melbourne/Sydney they are kind of in the middle of these two cities.

Our ski season is relatively short compared to other countries, I think the peak is in July but late June should hopefully be ok. This year was good but previously they haven't been the best, although many resorts make their own snow to make up for it.

That's about all the info I have, of the places I mentioned I've only been to Mt Buller which was this year, had a great time though!
