Im currently in Chang Mai heading to Pai then to Laos in next 4 days. I will be in Cambodia around beginning Feb and am seriously interested in Volunteering. I know, like everyione else, how difficult it is to volunteer but if anyone knows - or can advise how best I do this.... I would really really appreciate it!
Even for a few weeks would be great. I'd like to give something back and although visiting these countries is amazing in itself - if I can help and give something back - that would mean so much more.
If you have any friends living in Camobdia who need a volunteer for a few weeks to a month... please let me know!
I have NGO friends in Phnom Penh that help orphans and poor families with the basics: food, shelter, medical, school supplies, etc. There are no fees involved and they can always use another pair of hands to help out.
Send me a PM if interested.
hey mike ... i posted you a PM but not sure if you received???? dodgy connection wth internet so possibly it didnt send. Let me know!!! Thks!
This PDF is a newsletter of a volunteer group in Cambodia. I think they are involved with building and maintaining schools for children, and they are also involved in all the teaching.
My colleague's daughter is one of the main volunteers there and I think its a great cause!
Hopefully it tickles your fancy!
I resent the info on volunteering in Phnom Penh in a PM.
To share many smiles (and a grand Scottish twang) with the kids of Preychrouk - Siem Reap, Cambodia have a look at part of our adventure there...
...and our thread about volunteering at Preychrouk:
I have so much info, if you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to be in contact.
