Me and my girlfriend are about to head off for year taking in Thailand and the rest of South East asia, Australia where we'll be working, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and LA before coming home. We leave in Feb.

The only thing i haven't sorted out yet is travel insurance. I've checked loads of companies and one called Swift cover will do it for under £200 which makes me a bit nervous when other companies will charge £400+ for it.

Does anyone have some advice or first hand experience on who's good to go with. I'm in the UK if that helps.

Thanks everyone...any other tips you've got on the route I've given above then stick them here as well.

P.s I'm 27 my girlfriend is 24

Is that £200 for both of you or each?
Just read the small print (yawn) and see if it covers everything that you will need for your trip. I know some companies will do it cheaper but it doesn't include luggage cover or theft of money. Some companies cover specifically for backpackers and therefore tend just to be cheaper anyway.

Sorry....I should have said. It's £200 each

I've been reading the small print and some don't seem that different apart from the price.

Thnaks for the help though
