Would like any advice on renting an apartment, for a married couple in their 50's, in either Copacabana or Ipanema for about a week in March 2008.. First timers to Rio and we have been researching a lot on line but we have found in the past that first hand opinions are usually better than advice from a travel guide.
I live in Rio de Janeiro.
I don't know whether what you want is to rent an apartment from someone. If so, I don't have any tip. Sorry. But if you want tips to hotels, I suggest Copacabana Palace or Meridien. They're expensive, though. But Copacabana Palace is the best hotel of Brazil. I hope I have helped...
Anyway, if you want tips of places to visit in Rio, just ask. I'm here to help as long as I'm able to. =]
Try contacting these people. I just returned and used them for a nice apartment in Ipanema and would use them again. I found the link on another website and called them. www.ez-riorentals.com
I have an apartment to rent in Copacabana, situated in a quiet street and calm building. Check it out on www.paco-cabana.com and if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
