After several weeks of being here, I just realized we have *this* nifty thingamajig here in TP...

I bet it would be nice to talk to other TP members live.

Yep, it's well hidden that one :) Interestingly enough, every time we do a survey there's at least a few people mentioning a chat room as a great add on feature we should develop. Seeing as it's been there about 3 years, maybe we should just make it more obvious

A live chat facility seems like a good idea but in reality it is inconvenient because one cant do anything else while chatting. When posting on the forums or sending PMs I do all the stuff I need to do in between posts and dont miss anything if I stop reading the forums for half hour or a few hours.
I did have a few chats in the chatroom but they really tied me to my computer so I dont chat anymore. :)

TP's chat room comes up in a separate window so it does allow one to do other things simultaneously like respond to threads, etc.

I do agree, Sam - the chat link should be a bit more dominant if members are to see it. It's kinda lost where it is...

Uh, when I said do other things I did not mean other things on the internet. I meant things like shopping and picking my daughter up from school....:)

How does one survive in the real world?

An occassional smoke keeps me cheerful.

Glad you said cheerful. If you said "sane" you'd be lying.
