Like the others said.. there's no real need to tip. Rounding off the bill is quite common though, but never more than 10% and ONLY when the service has been really good.

If you can't afford it, don't do it. No one is likely to hold it against you!

thanks, I look forward to not tipping.

I really hate it. I try to do 10% at the most but when out at a nicer place I usually go with friends with money, and they tip a lot.
I just don't understand tipping a percentage. if the bill is $50 or $500 the server is doing the same exact amount of work. Why should I tip more because I decided to spend more on my food? I've seen servers get get 75-100 tips on ONE TABLE! that's insane.

if the tip was going to the chef then ok I'd gladly tip
