I am curious to know how to get from Rome to Venice and the length of the trip, as well as an estimated cost.
Also, do you know of any reasonably priced places to stay overnight in Venice, or would it be better to head back to Rome the same evening?
Thanks and please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thre are trains from Rome to Venice. The travel time, I think is about 4-5 hours. Trains in Italy are inexpensive. Venice is very expensive, but there is a hostal for women only in a convent or former convent on one of the islands (Giudeca? - not sure). Heard good things about it from a couple of backpackers I met on the train from Venice to Florence.
