Welcome to Travellerspoint millie !

Never been to NZ really. Spent a night in Auckland so that doesn't really even count although I did have dinner in that revolving restaurant :) Anyway, to make up for it, I am spending (a measly) 10 days there. New Years and a week of travelling roughly. Really looking forward to it!

Starting in Christchurch and driving up to Auckland is the basic plan..... any tips for that time of year?

Cheers,

Sam

thanks for the welcome sam..

well ur lucky u get here in the peak of summer! im getting jealous thinking about it.. i'll be working while ur having fun :( but thats life huh! lol.. Aucklands what i like to think of as its own little county within NZ lol with a variety of different cultures!

hmm well if i were you i would have liked to visit Queenstown which is further south of CHCH but im sure u could always come bak and revisit! its a touristy hot spot for NZ! tips would be.. stair clear of K Road in Auckland (unless u really want a prostitute/trans-sexual no offence! breathing down ur neck)

just take in as much as you can, i havent been down to the south island... but i know its really beautifull.. such unspoilt lands!

Hello Kia Ora

My name is Tahmineh, and well yes you will always have the fact that you live in NZ and have seen it. I haven't myself, but I've seen a few places in my 20 years of life. I hope you find what u r looking for and get 2 see a little bit more of the world.

Kia Ora to everyone!
One of my best lifetime experiences was when i was teaching on the West Coast of the South Island!! I was there for a year and loved every single minute of it! Unfortunately i needed to return to Canada to deal with stuff.
Being that I am living in Asia at the moment, I'm always looking to return to New Zealand. It was like a big playground for me!! Outdoor person's paradise!!
Cheers,
Sebastian
