Hi there! :)
I am travelling to Malaysia from 11 - 29 may and I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the best/logical order to travel to these areas: (I will be continuing overland to Thailand after so if you have advice about best border crossings that would be great!)

Coming from Singapore:
Cameron highlands
Tama Negara
Pulau perhentian islands

Thanks heaps!!!:)

Its better to take train if you want to travel to Thailand overland. You can take train from KL Sentral.

Well, for your Malaysia Trip, hopefully this website helps : Journey Malaysia

Good Luck.

You had better do Perhentian and Taman Negara in one shot because they're in the same state. Penang is one the OTHER side of the peninsula-and the quickest way to travel is probably by a budget air carrier.

I'd probably go with the following sequence:-

Melaka to Cameron Highlands to Penang to Taman Negara to Perhentian Islands and onwards to Thailand. Although check current border crossing conditions due to the Southern Thailand unrest. Dont think the situation has been resolved properly.

Hi nzwendy

Maybe after Penang you can add Langkawi island. you will find very beautiful and nice beach.
Local people call the Island 99 magic island.

why not add KL and genting to your journey. I do think the twin tower and the casino are worth visiting.
Btw, if you start from singapore, i suggest u take shuttle to malaysia. It is cheap and very convenient, and you can buy the tickets from any of the many travel agencies in singapore.

That's all I have~ Enjoy your journey~

Do Perhentian last, cos once you get there, you won't want to see or go anywhere else
