They are in India. Not sure if they are in any other countries.
They are places(towns, houses...) high up on hills(mountains) build by the British colonialists to retreat to when the weather gets unbearably hot in India. It is a few degrees cooler up there.

Maybe this thread should be moved to the Asia forum because I have never heard of hill stations being in anyplace except India?

Mel is correct that hill stations are located in India and that this thread should be in the Asia Forum. (It has been moved.)

Hill stations also exist in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other SE Asian countries.

The mean of the hill station is prevent sunstroke and spend a holiday at a summer resort in China.

Hi nisha56,
I just only know Chengde Hill Station in Hebei Province.
Their website for more details.
Hope this helps!

But i didn't know why do you go to hill station at this season.
Preventing cold weather should be better.

Hi Nisha56,

What about the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Beautiful scenery, great tea and some excellent treking oppurtunities.
