When I click on the thing to see which members are online some of their names are shown in red and some in blue.
Why?

I'm guessing some of them are 'visited' links - it's because you've been looking at their profiles. :)

I didnt visit anybodies profile today.
But now your name is the only one in blue so maybe blue is all the people who have recently posted on threads I started.

It's not just for today - it's (and forgive me if my techno-speak is wonky) a cookie thing - it depends on how long your computer retains cookies (especially chocolate ones). Try deleting all your cookies and you'll see that all the names change to the nice orange "unread" colour again.

Thanks Tway. :)
I will do that.

It's not cookies. It's simply the browser history. "Which specific pages have I visited, and which are still unvisited." (Your browser by default will retain that information for 9 days (depending on browser), although personally I have it set to remember for a year (as I do all my navigation through my location bar dropdown, which is populated by the history), while I know other people who have it set to 0 days.) Also, the site doesn't know anything about which threads you have visited before (as would need to be the case in the cookie scenario); it simply gives the browser the instruction to show visited links in one color, and all other links in another color.
The forum (and all of travellerspoint, really) should have similarly colored links: threads which you've visited are purplish (blue), while newly posted threads are orange (red).

Okay - never mind... Sander answered the question... Someone can delete this entry if they chose to do so...

I deleted cookies to do with TP. No harm to clean out those things now and again anyway even if it is not the cause of the blue names. :)
Utrecht is blue today. I sent him a couple of private messages yesterday so maybe accessing somebodies profile information in any way might be the cause of it. Although names turning blue seems very random. Last night Magykals turned blue then later Isadoras but I did not go into either of their profiles or send them messages yesterday. But maybe the thingy that Sander is talking about is set to a lot of days on my whatever thing that one sets this stuff on.
Anyway it causes me no problem.:)
