Can't Change Location of Photos

Travel Forums System Talk Can't Change Location of Photos

For some reason I can't get my pics from Caye Caulker, Belize or Teotihuacan, Mexico to sync up with the positions on the map. The database doesn{t recognize these locations so I manually put in the coordinates. On my travel map it shows up in the right place, but when I click on photos the map 1)won{t show Teotihuacan, and 2)places Caye Caulker in the middle of the ocean. Plus, the pics are synced to the wrong Caye Caulker spot.

I edited and fixed the locations on my map, but it is still impossible to get the pics to sync up correctly. Part of the problem is that I cannot enter the manual coordinates on the edit photo page. I have to use the map, and the map refuses to show the correct places that I have added to the trip.

Help please?

--Thanks

It is possible to edit the photo locations manually. On the photos tab of your travel map, click on a photo. It'll get a yellow outline and just above the photos there'll be a line saying something like "Location: Caye Caulker, Belize [edit manually]"
Click on [edit manually] and you'll see a country select box, an auto-completing location input box and input boxes for latitude/longitude. Set these right (the auto-complete should contain locations you created for your trip, even if the map doesn't - and otherwise you can use the latitude/longitude field), and the photo will show in the exact spot where you want it to show.
From that point on, in the photo view there will be a dot on the map for that exact location, which means that it's really easy to assign all subsequent photos to that exact same location: just click on the photo, then click on the dot, and it'll be assigned to that location.

Maybe you already figured that out, though? At least, if I look at your map, it seems to me you have photos assigned to the exact same locations as the trip stops for both Caye Caulker and Teotihuacan...
