Hi, everybody.

I'm not the kind of person who enjoys traveling on group tours, but... I want to make a trip to Oslo and the fjords and for the first time I'm considering it. Is it easy (and cheaper) doing it by myself? I'm planning on travel on may and there's one detail that is making me consider this even more: I'm pregnant.

Has anyone made this trip by themselves? Or in a tour? Any suggestions, tips?

Thanks.

Aline

I went to oslo again and it was brilliant. I would suggest go to oslo alone, get the train over to bergen (beautiful scenic views) and then pick up an organised tour from bergen of the fjords. Need any help or further suggestions just let me know!

I think hobo1985's suggestion is a good one. Oslo is easily manageable without a tour group as the city is easy to get around (I live here). There's the Oslo fjord, but it's not anywhere near as spectacular in terms of scenery as the more famous ones, although it's fantastic in the summers to be able to head out to one of the islands and bbq/fish etc. The other fjords are more remote and by yourself they'd be kind of hard to get to without hiring a car or taking a guided tour I'd say.
