Hi

I will be travelling around SA for 6 months from Sept 10th - flying into Buenos Aires and out of Rio in March. I just have to fill in the rest! I am 30 years old and am travelling solo from Mid october onwards - planning on seeing a lot of Argentina over a few months (preferaby overland where possible) and then probably the normal route from Santiago through Boliva to Peru and then flying to Rio for the last month (Feb - March). As a lone female traveller on her first backpacking trip (pretty scary!) all company and advice is welcome!

I need help. No I need someone or someones. I've never been anywhere. I'm 25 and frustrated. Just quit my job. I was working at a law firm hoping to get into law school. Well it didn't work out. You know how much much anxiety you build up waiting to hear "yes" or "no". Anyway, it's September 11, and I found this site like 30 minutes ago. I'm looking for people who are down to GO! Like just go. Mexico, South America, whatever I want in.

Hi, I´m in Brazil for 3 months of mostly kitesurfing, but can´t pass up the opportunity of seeing something of the wildlife and country whilst here.

Rough plan is to head to the Pantanal in early to mid October, do some fishing and check the wildlife out. Then some kind of forest experience. There´s a place in Bolivia called Noel Kempff National Park, near Santa Cruz, that sounds absolutely amazing...

It´s not the easiest trip to undertake, but from what I gather it should be worthwhile.
There´s some good info on it in the thorn tree forum.
Alternatively I would be interested in doing something similar in Brazil.

I´m 26, a male vet from England, learning portuguese and hoping my spanish will come back when I get to Bolivia, I´m quite used to independant travel of this sort and find it much more rewarding than the organised tours...

So if you will be in the Pantanal and want to share hire car costs, or fancy an adventurous trip to Bolivia, let me know.

Happy travels, James

I am going to Rio during November 2008. Staying for starters at a hostel in Urca. Anyone visiting Rio the same time?
