You can visit Kanha National Park which is well known for its flora and fauna. You can see the majestic tiger, Indian birds and butterflies and other Indian wildlife it will be an educational trip for the children.... [snip] It is one of the best tiger reserve in India.

What do you expect your trip's focus to be? heritage, architecture, arts, flora, fauna?

Because it will also be summer in India, just ensure that children are in slightly pleasant climate..
such as Kerala, the hills of TamilNadu, Bangalore, Mangalore, the Himalayas..

Then chart out a programme around these places so that the children do not tire out.
Lots of options will be available if you decide on your focus and main cities based on your arrical
and departure airports.

Welcome to India! It will be a pleasure to assist you, in case you need support
in planning.

Thats a pretty open ended question...
Think what you need to decide is what you want to see and how much time u wanna spend...
Also what sorta weather you can handle!!!

If its mountains... head north for the himalyas
Beaches down south...kerala
Ancient Architecture......pretty much anywhere ...
Sandy Desert... Rajasthan (west india)
High altitude desert ...Leh Laddakh...(in the himalyas)
Party n beaches...Goa

In short India has a lot to offer... decide what flavor appeals to you and then stat a new post...
n im sure every 1 will give you ideas n suggestions

Hi

Summer is hot in India. If you plan trips in June it will be rainning in Kerala and West Coast. Rest of India will have temperature above 35 degrees celcius and 50 degrees celcius unless you are lucky. Yes you can travel to the Himalayas comfortably or Nepal.

Regards

Kerala is a must when visiting India, a bit less frenetic than other states. Not sure about weather in summer holidays though you might just miss the end of the monsoon. Ooty in the hills will be cooler than other areas but still hot hot hot. Hampi (Karnataka) is wonderful but not recommended if very hot - its open with no shade.

In your months planning a trip to anywhere except the Himalayas in India would be a mistake. Hot weather , monsoons and a total offseason would be your major hassals. If you are adventurous plan a trek to the Great himalayan National Park (visit www.greathimalayannationalpark.com) or anyother treks in Himachal Pradesh. I would recommend Spiti. :)If you are the luxary cultural kind visit Shimla, Ladakh or tribal belts of Himachal.

Anything north of Delhi ( Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir ) would be a nice place to go.
