Nepal in June- monsoon?

Travel Forums Asia Nepal in June- monsoon?

I looked around, but didn't find this addressed.
I know that the monsoon starts around June, and I'll be there from June 11-28. I'm doing the trek to Everest. I've heard that it can be difficult to get good views with the clouds, but how much does the monsoon affect the views on the trek to Everest? Isn't that so high that it isn't a problem?
Also, I'm planning on taking a bus from Varanasi to Kathmandu, and I've heard that can be dangerous during the monsoon, but I hope I'm going early enough that it isn't a problem. What do the educated people think?

The Varanasi to Kathmandu section would not be a problem in june, since the rains in this stretch mostly start by the end of June. I dont think it would be raining much in June but u can expect some amout of rain.

Hello there,

Infact, travelling to Nepal on June can be little wet because that is the beggining month of monsoon but practically you won't have much rain compare with July and August. Generally, you might get often rain along the way of everest but when you across over 2000mt, won't get much rain for sure.

Similarly, viewing the scenery of everest get nice weather when you trek up to Tyenboche. So, from my work experience in tourism since few years, I can say you will have wonderfultrip at Everest Region.

According your another question about travelling to Nepal via Varanasi is easy and don't worry about the road because that is still not a heavy monsoon season...thanks
have a great journey to Nepal...
