Gonna ask a typical girly question but I travel to Sydney and up the East Coast Feb to end of July and was just wondering what kind of clothes I need to take with me! Do I need hoodies, jackets/coats?? Would I need warmer clothes for the nights? Replies would be awesome! x

Weather varies a bit depending on how far up or down in the country you are.

For Sydney - in May - July expect the temperature to be about 15-22 degrees C - so yes the average Aussie would wear hoodies/jackets although we wouldn't be as used to the cold as someone from Wales. I don't think you'd need any really thick coats or anything. The further north you go the warmer it is, up towards Brisbane/Cairns it's prob more in the low 20's most the time. Melbourne is more used to the mid - high teens for this time.

Feb is usually quite hot, weather can vary anything from 20 to 42 degrees, once again the more north you go the warmer and it's more consistantly hot (prob low 30's most the time up north), Sydney mainly high 20's.

As for nights in June/July it's pretty rare for it to be below 5 degrees unless youre in hills somewhere, usually around 6-10 degrees in the colder months for Melbourne/Sydney anyway.

Hope that helps!
