Hi
I am staying in the beautiful Himalayas, half hour from Manali and am very shanti except that I am prone to being eaten alive by bugs. I've got a high deet spray but it doesn't seem to deter them. Anybody any ideas on something natural that helps, or maybe dietry?

Though I have no idea how so many bad bugs are there in such cold climate, but here are some tips

1. During night use a net for a carefree sleep
2. During days keep neem leaves in the room. That should keep them away

Otherwise get help from the locals. They should have some way to avoid the bugs

If you've got garlic that will help. Eat a bunch and don't shower. Of course this has a side effect of keeping humans away too. And you won't be able to hang out with vampires either. But it works great for bugs. (for me anyway :) And try putting on Tea Tree oil, its great for healing bug bites and it smells strong enough to keep some bugs away.

My mum has an allergic reaction ususally to mosi bites and she's going to Tunisia soon, so her and her friend have been researching for the trip. They are taking vitamin B1 tablets, which they r having everyday about three weeks before and during their trip, it also is supposed to help keep ya skin soft too. and if u can stand the stuff then eating marmite before and during is supposed to work too-I can't tell u if it works for sure, but we've researched and that's what we've heard. I hope it helps!xx
