A few new options are now available when you're creating your forum posts, bringing the options in line with what is already available when editing the travel guide.
I haven't yet made any changes to the buttons used when composing, but if you have been contributing to the guide, you'll be familiar enough with some of the extra possibilities.
1. Quicker link creation. You can create a link by writing it like so [[http://www.travellerspoint.com]]
If you want to link to an article in the Travellerspoint guide, you can do so quickly by linking to it like this: [[Australia]]
which will look like Australia
2. Easier lists. All you need to do is use the asterisks for each list item, ie.. * item 1
* item 2
* item 1
will be rendered as
- item 1
- item 2
3. Temperature formatting. When you type a temperature in Celcius like this 30 °C, you will notice that it is underlined -- when you hover over it, it will convert that temperature into Fahrenheits.
There are some other small things possible, but those are the ones that I am glad to have available in the forums. And some of the travel guide code will not work, like inserting photos, headings or the "quick facts" block.
Just to be clear, the old style code will still work just fine as well.
