Im thinking of spending my holidays this year in Ghana, but wanted to know from someone who has been there if its worth a 2 week holiday or not. i know alot of people go to volunteer and see the country that way. is it suitable as a semi travelling semi relaxing place to go away to?
what is there to see and do etc?
cheers for any help

hi! I have never been to Ghana, but my boyfriend has been there twice visiting a friend who was working there for a long term contract. Anyways, he is in love with the country. He spent 2 weeks the first time and another 2 weeks on his second visit, so I think that you have enough to visit and see in 2 weeks. It's worth the while, and plus apparently Ghana is a quite safe country comparing to others around it.
He has a sort of diary of his first visit in 2003, and some pictures, that may help you have a vision of the country. I am sorry but the diary is only available in spanish! http://www.albertoconcejal.com/ghana01.htm
Enjoy Ghana if you finally decide to go there!!!!
