I am looking for comments or advice regarding air courrier experiences.
I'm thinking about trying it for a trip to Malaysia this summer. I'd be leaving from Los Angeles, probably flying into Singapore.
Thanks!
Travel Forums General Talk Has anyone travelled as an air courrier?

From my understanding they no longer exist. Due to current security regulations they stopped them. Should you find a service that still operates in the US, specifically NYC I would loved to know about it. Good luck in you search.
What's an air courrier?
I thought they only exist for parcels and stuff.
Apparently, air courier services are still in use. Check out a website called Courier.org for info. Courier travel was significantly reduced after 9-11 but is still used between limited gateway cities. Singapore is a gateway city.
Just like traveling by cargo ship it's also not nearly as cheap as it used to be in like the 70s. You'll end up paying near full price for a ticket with too many restrictions.

I travelled as an air courier for Jupiter out of LA 10 times. This was from '90 to 96'. It used to be a deal. I flew LAX-SIN for as low as $200R/T. Then they limited how long you could stay, increased their prices and finally it was not worth the effort. Last time I checked, they dropped Singapore and only go to Hong Hong from LAX. It may still be viable for US to Europe, but not to Asia. At least not for me.
Thanks! Your responses have been helpful!
