Hellooo people I am under 10 weeks away from my RTW trip which I have changed the itinery for about a dozen times But anyway it is final now and in February 2005 I hit Rio De Janeiro for the Carnival I am wondering if there are any peeps out there interested in travelling with me there It is a short while off but it would be good to hear from anyone who plans to go at that time I'd be interested in going to a few of the Rio bars, seeing the Sambadrome and the Carnival parade, along with any other parades/celebrations that are happening at the same time Hope to hear from some of the party goers out there whom are interested in going

Well that was easy! I was just thinking, "Hmm... Where am I going to find other people to go with to Brazil..?"
I'm also going to go for Carnival next year. I'm in Suriname at the moment, so it's just a stone's throw away. I saw this year's Carnival on TV, and it was amazing! I had never heard of Carnival before, but it's the biggest parade competition I've ever seen! Well, I've never heard of a parade competition before, actually, but it was cool!

After Brazil, my plan is to see other parts of South America while I'm here... I haven't really planned it out yet though. We'll see...

Anyway, I'm glad to know there's somebody else out there planning the same thing!

PS: What's RTW?

Hola-planning to be there as well. i'm moving from the states to BA in November 04. would love to do it with a group, as I hear it's a bit dangerous if you are an outsider.

Hola - well my itinery at the moment is LONDON-SYDNEY-SANTIAGO-BUENOS AIRES-SAO PAULO-RIO DE JANEIRO-LONDON. I plan to be in BA just after new year so Toolong, if you are around there also, at that time, send me a message. I hope to be in Sao Paulo for around 13 January 2005 and a few days later hit Rio and stay there for a month.

I am interested to go Brazil for the Carnival as well. But its a long way for me, I have to travel to UK or US first, then take another flight to Brazil.

Have you check out the price for the airtix yet? how much does it cost for you to travel fr UK to Brazil? I might be able to join u!

Wow, there's enough people here to put your own Samba School! How cool would that be, the TravellersPoint Samba School!

Travellerspoint Samba School - yeh I'd be proud of that ;) Well I have a website which I am thinking of getting my tickets thru' etc. it is www.ipanema.com So meghardy, you are in Rio for Xmas and New Year too I take it It is supposed to be really good in Rio for that There is another site that may be of help www.rioforpartiers.com which has fantastic information provided by locals on what to do around Rio all year round. I must have a proper look at it before I go though, as I have only glanced at it recently but it does look good :)
