Hi,

For quite a long time i've been trying to find an answer to this question but guess that i'll need some help from you. At this point i'm 21 and i've never been further than Poland (I live in Urkaine). I don't know if i want to move permanently... well maybe.
I'm working as a freelance programmer so my job is not place dependent and i can keep earning money anywhere in the world if there's internet access availabe.
Let me make a list of what i want and please see if you can help me on any point, so

1. Prefered country is the one which is located on the islands and has warm climate.
2. The easiest situation with getting a visa for living there.
3. With quite low prices.

So these are the most basic requirements, any comments, suggestions and advices are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I think given your criteria Southeast Asia would be a good place to narrow down too? :) for me im thinking of moving back to my own country to do freelance writing, so no2. to me will not be a problem. But for foreigners visas are easy enough to get, and there is the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program going on so i think you will not have a problem if you want to stay long term in the country.

As for no. 1 Malaysia is warm all year round, and has some nice islands like the Perhentians, Tioman etc.. And Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak) is a nice getaway...

No 3. "Quite low prices" - i think the cost of living in Malaysia is quite affordable...

Actually, the same can be said for Thailand, just that for me, its much easier to base myself in my home country... Other places i have thought of moving to include Vientiane in Laos, very beautiful country, great value for money, just that job opportunities are a bit limited...

Hi itenerant,

Thanks for your reply. I realy liked the places you advised but after checking the MM2H program i found out that all applicants should have at least RM300,000 which is over $90,000 on there account. That's a huge sum actually. I might've missed something though, so please correct me if so.
