can anybody answer this,i have about £16.000 for my rtw trip.now whats better the British £ or the $ for traveling?you may think this is a stupid Q but i have no idea.HELP

There are no stupid questions, my friend.

US dollars are accepted almost everywhere for exchange and are therefore more useful than sterling. Having said that, sterling is generally pretty flexible too but I would advise US dollars.

I would also suggest using travellers cheques instead of cash - a much safer option. In my opinion, American Express are by far the best.

Id say US dollars too. Generally accepted everywhere and in some places can be the de facto official currency...

Travellers cheques are handy, and so are bank cards that allow you to withdraw money overseas at a minimal charge...
