Is Valentines Day a a celebration of Commerce rather than a celebebration of Love? What do u think?

Personnally l think this is a load of commercial nonsense so that prices of flowers cards champange restaurants etc etc etc can all be inflated for one silly day of the year. And if you sucumb to such you must have more money than sense!

Why do you need one particular day of the year to tell your significant other how special they are? Where is the element of surprise - your partner will appreciate it much more if its out of the blue rather than a day Hallmark Cards decide upon so they can boost their sales.

OK lm stepping off my soap box now, and starting to breath normally again!!

I do think every good stuff turned to business, i.e.:

Christmas =======>Businessmas
Valentines =======>Businesstines
Birthday present ======>Business present

and I am sure there are so many examples around, just need to come to surface when we start to think how much it cost us to say we love somebody!!!
